Benchmark's Hometown Hospitality Caring for our Communities Program
Responsible corporate citizenship recognizes the strong interplay between a healthy and vibrant community and the health and well-being of a company and its employees. To this end, Benchmark Hospitality International launched a company-wide community service initiative, called "Hometown Hospitality Caring for Our Communities." Hometown Hospitality formalizes many active community involvement programs in which the company's properties are engaged, and offers tools to become vital contributors in their home communities.
Benchmark's national Hometown Hospitality partners have included literacy programs in markets coast to coast that the company operates properties; as well as Boys & Girls Clubs of America nationwide; and for 2011-2012, the United Service Organization (USO), assisting military personnel and their families. Benchmark's network of 40 hotels and resorts has committed to support the USO, providing complimentary guestroom stays for troops about to deploy or just returning from deployment, assisting the Mobile USO teams that travel throughout the country to military installations and events, hosting special events, providing vacation giveaways to USO centers holding silent fundraising auctions, supporting USO Wounded Warriors programs and Operation USO Care Package initiatives, providing Holiday Boxes to the troops.
