Benchmark Equipment Company (BEC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Benchmark Hospitality International and was established in 1983 to provide the following procurement services:
- Establishment of national account, and manufacturer direct trading arrangements for the procurement of hospitality related products and services.
- Utilization of its national account and manufacturer direct trading relationships to provide its customers with access to a wider range of products, lower procurement costs for the goods and services they purchase, and higher levels of vendor support and services than an individual facility may typically obtain on its own.
- Provide hospitality projects under construction with comprehensive procurement services specifically related to furniture, fixtures & equipment (FF&E), plus operating supplies & equipment (OS&E).
In our 26 years of operations BEC has disbursed over 70 million dollars in the procurement of hospitality related goods and services on behalf of its customers, and has been a project team member in 23 new property openings, 21 property transitions to Benchmark Hospitality management, 12 property renovations/expansions, and 7 golf club openings, renovations.
We pride ourselves on our expertise in the design and procurement of Operating Supplies & Equipment (OS&E) packages, and our organization has received national recognition for our talents on two occasions from Foodservice Equipment & Supply magazine for restaurant tabletop product design. Also, in 2008, Hotel F&B Magazine named Scott McMinn, Vice President & Managing Director of Benchmark Equipment Company as an industry advisor to the publication. In this role he communicates with the editorial staff about new products and trends in hospitality procurement.
